Should I upgrade to NextGen?
So, I've been with destiny for a while, been playing the game a good amount of time, but was wondering... Should I upgrade to new gen? I mean all my friends are on old gen, but I wanna play destiny with more people, just feels like forever to get a match in PS3...
What should I do? I'll let the community decide... For once.
Just say what I should do, I should've made it a poll but just type what I should do please.
Edit: So apparently I need to make myself clear, I am talking about PS4, and the Xbox One, sorry for the confusion, and to all the people who were saying "This is a joke right? Or "Upgrade Retard"
Sorry for not being rich and stuff, I don't need to have all this stuff to have a happy life... Just wanted to ask a question, and apparently you just don't understand that...

As is the way with all console systems, you will have too. If you want to play the new stuff then yes. Last gen will still get support from the makers, Sony Microsoft, for some features and many games, but developers will eventually leave us old heads in the dust. Destiny will make the choice to not produce new content for last gen. If they really plan on a 10 year run, it won't make sense to keep ps3 alive just for one game. Its all about timing for us, and profit for them. When ps3 isn't as profitable for developers they will ax it. For us it is a game of chance. I say upgrade. But upgrade when you want/can/makes sense. I can't yet myself but I will. Definitely do it when you can.

If you can seriously afford it, snag one on black Friday or right before Christmas. If you have any family or friends who work at walmart, grab their Christmas discount. My cousin works their, so every year before Christmas he gets like 25% off, so I throw some cash his way and he gets me some goodies. If it's between systems, it's your own personal preference. I always get them all, but I prefer Playstation over Microsoft. Mainly because of single player games, which I prefer on Playstation. Microsoft is apparently the best place for multiplayer, but honestly they're both the same. You have millions on both, and they play wherever their friends are. The early access for Playstation users on Destiny isn't a selling point to me at least. You actually get 'more' content when said exclusives make their way to Microsoft. With all that being said, get whichever you prefer. Play where your friends are. You have to pay to play online for both systems now. Also research future games to help you decide what you want. 2 RepliesNows the time to ipgrade if you havent done so already. The consoles are gonna be discounted for the holiday season, making this the best chance you have to get one for a year. If you dont have the money to spare for one now, just put away a dollar a day, more if you can. You may not be able to afford it for a while, but you will one day And keep an ear to the ground. As soon as rumors of a new gen of consoles start going around, start saving a dollar a day. Youll be able to afford at least one new console at launch

1 ReplyRather than picking a next gen based on whichever people think is better. Maybe pick the one most of your friends have and that has the games you'd be most keen on (if they're console exclusive) You'll be happy with whichever you pick though to be honest

I implore you, upgrade this holiday season. I can imagine support for last gen will wane dramatically in the next year with more and more developers needing more power. I've always believed that once next gen becomes adopted as current gen is when you should jump ship

Do it. I put it off for the same reasons but I finally got it this week and I'm glad I did. I still have my ps3 so I have them both plugged in and just change channels when my mates ask me for help. Seriously man, you won't regret it.

I was the first of my friends to upgrade to ps4.... 2 of my mates did it straight after me Now I've got about 15 of my mates one ps4 (only about 9 play destiny)

Go with the PS4 since you already have a PSN transferring everything is easy and you can keep your characters by doing the transfer function
