Also, look for sequences like [b][[/b] #%**+ [b]][/b] or [b]([/b]#^#\[b])[/b]. Selecting sequences that begin and end in either brackets or parenthesis will remove incorrect passwords and narrow your decisions. They can also reset your tries back to the max

Yeah, I figured that out way late into my playing new Vegas, it's really helpful
