Wrong. My analogy is more apt. Your version would be like having matchmaking in the raid - allowing to access to the ride sooner.
In this instance they want the ride to finish quickly, just so they can say they've been on the ride. They don't experience any of the thrill, the rush. In the raid they completely miss the challenge, the strategy, the gameplay.
They're chasing a trophy, not an experience. Destiny is an experience, not a vending machine.

Either way fallacy of analogy I have fun completing a raid. Should I get good drops along the way that's icing on the cake. I have more fun not wiping. Which having ToM makes a bit easier.

You can experience the thrill of the raid AND complete it in good time. I enjoy killing Oryx, it doesn't mean I need to try it 5 times before I complete it.
