I did the raid for the first time last week with 3 people I've never played with before. I walked in at 290 and walked out at 295. I wasn't able to finish as I had to log off as we got to the daughters. Up to the sisters, we one shotted everything. Three of us had never even set foot into the raid, the other three were vererans. The entire time I was there, not one of them used touch of malice. Perhaps it's more useful during the oryx fight, I don't know. But as no one had a touch of malice before the raid launched and they still managed to beat the raid, I don't see why it's a necessity.
