Since you avoided the question, I'll restate it.
If in the next content drop, half of the advertised crucible maps are missing on launch (and there was no reason to believe they would be, Bungie staying silent), would you be in support of that?

You're kidding right? Time-gating of quests is a common practice. All of the quests are included with the purchase and will be released in time. So even if they were actually advertised as being part of TTK (which they weren't), your cause for complaint is nil. Time-gating of basic content (maps, game modes, etc.) is unheard of. It's preposterous. So to answer your moronic and completely irrelevant question, no. I would not be ok with it. No one would, including Bungie. That's not even close to being a comparable situation.

The only one who looks like an ass is you. He proved you wrong, even though you were wrong in the first place, and now you went quiet like a little bitch. Desticle please.

Edited by redshirt4life: 11/12/2015 12:55:44 AMMm hmm. Based on what? Your idiot opinion? Sorry kiddo. I prefer the facts.

I EAGERLY await your response.

Bahahaha, sure kid. You obviously don't know what time-gating is. In perpetual online games (which destiny is), it's very common. It has nothing to do with putting special game modes on rotation. It's the gradual release of auxiliary content. And no, none of it was ever advertised as being release content. Most (if not all) of it was never advertised at all. You have 0 factual basis to stand on. But hey, keep making an ass of yourself if that's what you want.

Just because something isn't specifically advertised as included at launch does not mean you should assume it has been cut out. In any other game, including MMOs, advertised content is the content available at the launch of an expansion. And I believe you have a VERY loose definition of advertising. It was shown in gameplay trailers and quoted as content (in a collection of content). When you're talking about an expansion onto a game, content is what is advertised, what is shown. That's all there is. Really, you act as if I'm making an ass of myself for listening to the voice of reason and being against glade advertisement.

It's not a voice of reason. It's the screaming of entitlement. There is literally no reason for anyone to get worked up about it.

Edited by GuyFamily999: 11/11/2015 11:46:16 PMOne: Destiny is not most games, understood. However, no, time gating is NOT that common of a practice. Quests and their rewards are assumed to be included in the purchase upon launch. Two: They were advertised just as much as other content. I don't understand how one does not classify a trailer as advertising, but I guess that's up to you. Under most sane people's books, if content is mentioned, talked about, shown/displayed in trailers, in a companies specific database for public eyes, etc... It's expected to be included and if not, it has been cut and should be signified as being cut. Three: Game modes are "time gated" actually. We can only play mayhem when they choose to let us, among other things. Regardless; the only difference between these two forms of content is that one must be earned and the other is supplied. To many people, nine exotic armor pieces had more value and is more of a piece of "base" content than a crucible map. They aren't different. Both are content. They BOTH significantly affect the value of an expansion and play a major role in the purchase of said expansions. No, they aren't they exact same thing, but in terms of value, that is entirely subjective. I consider gear to be one of the most important aspects of an MMO and when it is withheld, I am just as angered as I would be if a crucible map was withheld (WHICH. DID. HAPPEN. The map they finally added in during festival of the lost). So it's Oh so preposterous, yet it happened with both that map and to an extent game modes, just on a smaller scale, one map and not two or three. So it doesn't matter right? Your argument against mine is what is invalid. Time gating is not a common practice, the exotics WERE advertised, "basic" content HAS been time gated (crucible map and game modes), and these two examples hold the same value. The only way the two subjects could be any more comparable would be if they were the same thing; EVERY other variable was identical.
