They are making brilliant business decisions! 25 million people bought their game, people are buying merchandise, expansions, clothing, emotes, and silver...do the math! That's a successful business model if you ask me. They also outsold Halo 5 which they gave up to make a game that would make them even more richer. You can say they maybe could've done some things differently, but to say they were poor business decisions is kind of dumb to say.

25 million registered users doesn't have anything to do with game sales. If you logged in to the alpha, beta or even just to try the demo you are considered a registered user.

The game that Destiny was meant to be would of far outsold eny previos sales and would of incremented future sales, the hype of the original game was what sold those copies, hope, discounts and promotions was what sold the dlc after but the numbers have slowed down in dlc sales (the full Destiny, ttk, how, tdb bundle dont count) only single dlc ( tdb, ttk, how) and less people are going to buy the next one because bungie is improving But still mess up in serious places(locked exótics,im ok with the quest ones but not the other missing ones)why isnt challege mode out? They have made millions and the first singn of gratitude are some holloween decorations (which i apreciated)
