I'd be shocked if you got more kills than me using that pile of carp. I haven't seen anyone do it yet. You'll put more damage on a boss, no doubt, but I'll get the kills.
And to say "it's fine" is awful. This is supposed to be the most amazing gun in year two, and it's only "fine?" Damn, how bad is year two if the best gun is just "fine?"
Bungie's idiotic idea to not let any guns shine is killing this game. I chased down this piece of carp, and it absolutely does not shine. Why would I chase down anymore guns when everything that I keep finding is junk?
The Red Death is still a beast. It's awesome. The day they get rid of year one guns completely is the day I'm done with Destiny. Bungie is destroying this game with their awful guns and lack of content.

Oh, yeah, believe me when I say I know how OP Red still is. But nonetheless the ToM is situational and requires a bit of manipulation to pull its extent out. For example, if you're doing rumble, aggrivate opposing guardians with Tbags and whatnot so they come charging at you expecting to shotgun you from 5 feet (conspiracy ew) and then punch when the ToM will have them dead before they can get in range due to the double damage mechanic. I get what you're saying about how it could be junk, it's all on how you use it. I (will be later today when i acquire it finally.. fakking calcified fragments) use it for the raid to acquire better raid weapons, which are amazing in pvp. How amazing? I've gone 27 and 3 on control with a smite, and I have only ever been outgunned once by, ironically, a Red Death. The red death is a very strong and versatile pulse rifle, and its special perk just puts it into another league. Some weapons are meant for one part of destiny and people use them for others and it still works out most of the time (supercell as example) So, TL;DR? I fully understand and support what you're saying, but it really just depends on playstyle.
