Kell of Gods raid (work in progress)

[b]Notice:[/b] Just letting you all know, I barely started this thread. My goal is to finish this, and all of my other FoG threads by January 10, 2016. This is one of the two raids which should be in the Forge of Gods DLC. The other raid, Collapse of the Empire, is Cabal themed, and located on Mars's moon, Phobos. [b]Raid gear[/b] https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/172877291 [b]Recommended light level[/b] Normal: 380 Hard: 400 [b]Relic[/b] [spoiler] Name: Noble spear [b]RT (Xbox):[/b] This lets you capture a scorch cannon shot until it explodes or gets released. Press RT again to release it, as you slam the bottom of the spear in the ground, severely damaging and burning any enemy within range. [b]RB (Xbox):[/b] Holding this lets you jab a bunch of times at lightning speed (does not let you fly like the Sword of Crota or the VOG relic). [b]LT (Xbox):[/b] Holding this lets you spin the spear in a circle, deflecting enemy projectiles. [b]Super:[/b] This surrounds you in an aura (you'll see what it does eventually) until the super energy is fully depleted. During the super, RT shoots a high velocity bolt of energy, but you need to charge it like a fusion rifle. Charging the shot depletes the super more quickly. [/spoiler] [b]Areas/Sections[/b] Dragons' Watch [spoiler] [b]Objective:[/b] Breach the warbase [b]Official Strider concept art:[/b] http://i.imgur.com/eUGYRVy.png?1 [b]Description:[/b] This is normally one of the patrol areas on Europa. If you're doing the raid, there will be a huge, tall Fallen vehicle known as a Strider. It's a 2 person vehicle capable of causing mass destruction and walking over large chasms. 2 people will need to get in. One person pilots the vehicle, and the other person mans the artillery. There will be Fallen extraction crews located throughout the area. However, there is a slight difference. If you kill an extraction crew, that extractor will not de-spawn yet. The Strider needs to stand over the extractor to absorb energy. Once the energy is absorbed, the extractor will de-spawn. Just like normal extraction crews, there is a time limit for each crew. If you fail to kill a crew within their time limit, the Strider will lose some energy. Once the Strider has 5 extractors worth of energy, a notification will say, "A weapon is charged". The person in the vehicle who mans the artillery will be prompted to press LB(Xbox) and RB(Xbox) at the same time. It will need to be aimed at the wall of the warbase. This will fire an extremely powerful ball of energy at the wall, creating a massive explosion, and blasting an opening into the warbase. [/spoiler] Ransacked Warbase [spoiler] [b]Objective:[/b] Find the command center [b]Description:[/b] You enter a Cabal warbase which had been captured by the House of Dragons. Cabal corpses are everywhere. Most of the Cabal banners had been replaced with Dragon banners. The few remaining Cabal banners are either torn with claw marks, or covered in Fallen graffiti. There is no advanced mechanic for this part of the raid. You just need to proceed. There are Fallen enemies, but you don't have to kill them. There [i]is[/i] a chest, but it only contains Dark Ether Sups. It's not an exotic chest.     My idea for the K.A.T.A.N.A.-8 encounter [spoiler]You enter a large open room with barely any cover, similar to the S.A.B.E.R.-2 room. There are 2 glass containers. One contains a Scorch Cannon, and the other contains a Noble Spear (this Scorch Cannon actually has 10 shots like a normal one). Since they are in containers, you can't pick them up yet. The encounter starts soon after you enter the room. K.A.T.A.N.A.-8 looks like another giant Shank, but with very noticeably larger fan blades. Adds will also spawn, but mostly Servitors and more smaller Shanks (of course with each variant), including a special Shank known as a Dragon Shank. You need both relics for this fight, but how do you get them? Well, you need to kill the Dragon Shank, and a notification will pop up saying, 'K.A.T.A.N.A.-8 is angered.' When this happens, he will charge at you at the speed of light, flattening you. He will charge whoever kills the Dragon Shank and no one else. You need to position yourself behind the glass containers so K.A.T.A.N.A.-8 will smash into it, allowing access to the relic and stunning him. You need to do this for both relics. Once you have both relics, you want to fully charge a Scorch Cannon shot on him to open an area for damage (this is similar to how you stagger Oryx in King's Fall)(if you use all 10 shots, another Scorch Captain will spawn, but only one). Once enough damage has been done, a notification will pop up saying, 'K.A.T.A.N.A.-8 paralyzes a guardian.' He will shock one random guardian, making them unable to move. He will then lift up one of the giant fan blades he has and try to suck in the paralyzed guardian (demented, I know). To prevent this, the person with the spear has to jam the spear into the fan blade with the RB (Xbox) attack. This will destroy the blade, cause half damage to the boss, and un-paralyze the guardian. Repeat this again to kill the other fan blade, but the boss is not dead! The boss will paralyze all but one guardian. That guardian has to throw a STICKY grenade on the boss's back, or charge a Scorch Cannon shot on it. Either way will kill it :D Hard Mode: Jamming the first fan blade w/ the spear will break it. To break the other one, fully charge a Scorch Cannon shot on it. Also, the Scorch Captain WILL NOT SPAWN. The Scorch Cannon you start with is the one you get. Challenge Mode: Break both fan blades AND deal the final blow on K.A.T.A.N.A.-8 with the Scorch Cannon. This means you need at least 3 shots saved. Note: if the player with the Scorch Cannon is paralyzed during the "last chance," they can drop it by pressing X (Xbox). This is to accommodate for challenge mode. [/spoiler]

  • My idea for the Archon Mage encounter: [spoiler]You enter a large, abandoned Cabal base. There are Fallen banners around the area. There are a few staircases with cover, but not many. There is also a Noble Spear on the pillar in the middle of the room. Someone must pick up the spear to start the encounter. The Archon Mage looks like a giant Fallen Captain. He wields a Schrapnel Launcher with 3 of his arms and a scepter in his other arm. The scepter fires rarely, but it fires a very powerful beam that will do serious damage if you get hit. He stands on the large pillar in the middle of the room. The pillar has a sort of guage on the front. This will come into play later. When someone picks up the spear, they will have a debuff known as 'Bound by the Spear.' This will prevent the person from being able to drop the spear. When the encounter starts, adds will spawn from every door, including a Scorch Captain. Someone must kill the Scorch Captain and take the cannon that drops. When they take the cannon, two things will happen: 1) you will notice that this Scorch Cannon only has 5 shots in it. And 2) a notification will appear saying, 'The Archon Mage causes the Scorch Cannon to malfunction.' When this happens, one of the shots (never the first one on normal) will jam and explode the user, obviously killing them. Be careful! To damage the Archon Mage, the person with the Scorch Cannon must shoot it at the person with the spear (yeah, you heard right). The spear person must catch the shot and slam it near the Archon Mage to bring down his shield. This will allow for DPS for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, a notification will pop up saying, 'The Archon Mage demands sacrifices.' At this point, EVERY SINGLE ADD will rush toward the middle pillar and begin a sacrificial ritual (it takes about 5 seconds). Remember that guage on the pillar I mentioned earlier? When enough adds sacrifice themselves and fill up the guage on the front, the Archon Mage will return to full health. Don't let this happen! Just repeat this process to kill the Archon Mage. Hard Mode: the Scorch Cannon CAN jam on the first shot, so be careful. Challenge Mode: don't let the guage on the middle pillar fill up.[/spoiler]
