They may wait until they have no new content to reintroduce year 1 weapons. Integrating them now doesn't make much business sense.

Why not? Even if Year 1 [i]was[/i] Infusible, you still need to [i]buy TTK[/i] to get the mats for it. If players wanted to do it, they'd [i]still[/i] need to shell out the $40. :P In fact, it would probably make them [i]more[/i] money, because players like [b]me[/b] (who haven't bought TTK [i]because[/i] our gear was left behind) would be much more incentivised [i]to[/i] buy it.

It's similar to what they are doing with time gated exotics. I suspect they'll only make year one weapons infusable when a lot of the players have nothing else to play for.
