In a weekly update, it was stated that each class would receive half a dozen new exotic armor pieces. I and many of my friends vividly remember this statement, and that 18 number was a large factor of why I purchased the taken King.

We were supposed to get 6 new armors per class. 6 times 3 is 18. We got 3 per class. 3 times 3 is 9.
