I have had the final step since first release of the quest line, but when I start the lv42 saber strike it puts me into the normal strike. Why can't I do the modified strike to get this weapon?

Maybe wait until reset and then try it. I think becomes the mission is today everyone that is doing the part you already did. Just a thought.

Yeah I just finished it and got it. I was under the impression the beginning was different. I was told you were dropped into the final battle at the start.
