I'll admit the last Halo game I played was 3 but I do miss the kill spree announcements during the game.
In Destiny the announcements are more like a disappointed father at a kids soccer game.

If your father is Morgan from the walking dead, he's very disappointed in you, and you lose at Crucible a lot, then yes. And in that case it is both awesome and kinda sad at the same time? :-)
