Part of what your experiencing is visual recoil versus actual recoil. As in, it looks like your sight is up above their head due to the recoil, but the barrel is still pointed at their head.
Also, everyone knows this is how AA works on primaries. It does increase bullet pull.
However, snipers are different and there is no increase in bullet pull relative to AA. They all have the same amount of bullet pull. The slowing intensity of the scope is the only difference for snipers when it comes to AA.
