You want the honest answer. This game is played mostly by scrubby teens who get their PS4 money cards for Christmas/Birthdays and have no real value of money. They buy the DLCs and pay for stupid emotes, because they put no effort into earning that cash. I work 50+ hours a week, earn well over 6 figures, and have plenty of cash to pay for crappy emotes, but I also have a brain and two eyes. I can clearly see Bungie's intent and as much as I love playing a game for fun, I won't pay a dime for aesthetic crap. People need to realize the more you pay for this crap, the more you set the standard for this to happen more often. You do realize that Bungie will hold the best shaders for the market to be sold to you. If you think they wont... you're stupid. No longer will playing the game give you the best content... you'll have to buy that. And Bungie knows this world is full of teen idiots who know nothing but image and status.

 • You're partly wrong. There's people on here 25+ years old who have figuratively thrown money at their screen because they're too -blam!-ing dumb to realize just what their purchases of microtransactions are doing. "I earn my money, I can spend it on what I want". That's their defense statement for allowing companies to push more cash-grabbing schemes.

 • I agree. It's not all the kids, but they are mostly people that are uneducated as to what they are doing to gaming overall.

 • Atleast CoD is actually starting to try and innovate and had dedicated servers on PC. I'd say Black Ops 3 on PC beats the shit out of this worthless game made by a worthless company.

 • It's not about the money it's about the principle. I still have the 400 silver unspent...

 • Brags about how much money he earns on a video game forum. Then calls people idiots.

 • You failed to see the point. It's not about having the money, not about earning the money, not about spending your money the way you want to. It's about setting a precedence to the value. If we both do the same job, yet you are willing to work for $5 an hour, you are basically demeaning what we do and lowering the value of it for everyone else. It's quite selfish. Same goes for microtransactions. Don't forget these are pixels and animations. This is a product that has no production value, no limited supply. Bungie can sell as many as they want. No one is telling you what to do, but that doesn't mean what you do isn't stupid and selfish.

 • People value whatever they please and for your to tell them its stupid and selfish, is ignorant. Personally I think you owning a black dildo is selfish

 • I laughed... and you're right. They can value whatever they want, but like I said that doesn't mean it's not wrong and affecting others. Thus, selfish.

 • Im in the same boat. I went as far as not buying ttk and im glad i didnt. I just play pvp, all i care for. Another thing out of 40 plus players on my friends list who i met by way of destiny about 4 or 5 remain. I love the game and its mechanics but bungie and activision have pushed the greedy line too far for my liking specialy hiding behind their eula.

 • I'm 25, work a full time job, and have my own apartment in Southern California (it's not cheap here), without any help from mommy or daddy. I know the value of a dollar. That being said, I play Destiny because I enjoy it. And if I can afford to spend a few bucks here and there for a stupid dance or emote that I like, then I'm going to. Not because I want to fit in or feel like I have to do it, but because it's going to further add to my Destiny experience. Now, I fully understand that the more money we give them the more money they know they can take. And if it ever becomes a pay to win game then I'm done, and I'm pretty sure they know a lot of their player base is too. I kind of lost track of where I was going with this, but there's my two cents lol.

 • Pay to win probably won't happen but destroying the rewards system so they can sell better aesthetic items like cool shaders will definitely happen. Your dollars only reinforce this trend. Thanks.

 • I agree with you to an extent. I don't know if you've played Halo 5 or know much about the multiplayer, but they have requisition packs you can buy with req points that you earn through playing mp that unlock aesthetic gear and weapon skins, etc. or you can buy them with real money. What I like about it is that you can still earn them by playing if you don't want to spend money. So if BungieVision were to ever start selling shaders, which I'm sure they will, I hope they take that same route: let the people with money and no patience buy them, while everyone else can try to get one from a drop.

 • What makes you think it's Bungie's intent and they're not just going along with Activision's because they shook on a business deal to expand their company?

 • Some people are slower than others and just don't understand how these things work. They have to find out the hard way. They'll all see the light eventually.
