When you look at the cost of infusing, it's quite extreme - first you must sacrifice a weapon with higher light, and then you pay glimmer, weapons parts, a mote of light, and legendary marks - and to add insult to injury - you won't get the full Light level for the gun you're dismantling - it's like this weird average system that I'm still pretty unclear about - this same system applies for armor as well - I say we just drop the weapons parts and armor parts - that would solve a whole lot of hassle....for those folks who've gathered thousands of parts/armor bits - there's already a system in place to trade that in for rep... Also, where's the system that'll allow me to trade in my spinmetal or wormspore - I delete piles of that sh*t and get nothing for it...

 • And to add to that, you don't get any weapon parts from the weapon you are dismantling to infuse. Removing the weapon part cost from infusing would help a lot. The reasoning for removal would be that you are using the weapon parts from the weapon you are dismantling.

 • legendries will gain the full infusion level between 4-6 pts exotics is 4-5 pts anything beyond that and the item will not receive the full upgrade intended

 • This... I've started deleting wormspore. I would gladly trade 20 wormspore for 5 weapon parts. It's a totally worthless material except for very limited options. Or make a ghost that gives you a weapon part every time you loot a weapon engram... ANYTHING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE.

 • Calculating new stat post infusion can be done one of two ways: 1. Manually - you gain 80% of the difference between the two items when the difference is greater than 6. Example - 300 item infused into 280 (difference of 20) item will be 296 (20 x .8 = 16. 16 + 280 = 296.) Or 285 infused into a 280 (difference of 5) will yield a 285. Note: the system rounds up in cases where the math is not even 2. Go here and enter details: http://www.destinyinfused.com/

 • Excellent explanation and thank you for the web site, but you see what I'm saying though, right? It's more a matter of "Why?!" It shouldn't be this complicated (in my opinion) - but again, thank you for the explanation

 • Aye. It could be solved by simply showing a pre and post infusion number for each available item. Knowing the math certainly helps though...
