Santa, a.k.a. Saint Nicholas, is actually the Christian Patron Saint of prostitution (and other things) so, yes, even he has to deal with Christianity.

Well since Christmas predates Christianity, I would say it has nothing to do with it.

That's great that you can copy and paste Wikipedia and all dude.. But the word may be related to Christianity, the celebration very much has its roots in Roman pre-Christianity times. After which, it was adopted by Christianity (much like everything else that is 'Christian') from pagan festivals. Basically, there was a festival that had been around for a long time and then Christianity slapped a new name on it and called it theirs.

Jesus Christ, the historical man, was a Jew born in Bethlehem (Either Jerusalem or Galilee) which is part of Isreal. This means he would have had brownish skin (think Natalie Portman if you're not familiar with Israelis), brown eyes, and curly hair. The current depiction of Jesus Christ is based upon Caesar Borgia (A fair-skinned, Italian man) a Cardinal in the Catholic church about 550 years ago. His father became Pope and hired an artist to create a painting of Jesus in his son's image.
