Why do we care who gets banned or not? Be respectful and follow the rules. People won't get banned then. Pretty simple.

 • Yet people who try to make suggestions, get ignored completely countless times, and get mad have no right to return the message? It's basic rights, including the right of speech. You did go to school, right? It's not a law that we must listen to all rules, and they have no right to silence us.

 • I understand what you are saying. But, when you entered the forum you agreed to the COC. Personally, I could care less. If I don't like it I can mute them. But, I guess the point is. Do people really need to use some of the terms they do? If they tried that in a public forum, there are a few laws that could be used against them.

 • People have the right of speech, as I said, but they also use those words to get the attention of others. Sadly, some take it a bit overboard to the extent that they must be acted upon.

 • lol Because your post generally consist of "You've summoned me" and nothing more. Kind of hard to be disrespectful with such a limited vocabulary. No hate, just laughing.

 • The issue is for one that the rules are extremely vague. It is very easy to break the CoC without even realising it.

 • I have never seen anyone get banned for trash talking Bungie or anyone else. What ppl get banned for is the sailor mouth. Like most. I don't care if you call me a good for nothing dog. What will get my hackles up is, all the "beep beep this and your beep beep beep". Stuff. So, yes. Pretty simple. Keep it clean and respectful. The ninjas walk on by. Maybe it is not the COC that needs an over haul. But, the communities choices of words.

 • "Clean" is an opinion, and while there might be a large consensus of those feeling certain words are "naughty" and shouldn't be used, words are a means of expression, and to mute them bc it doesn't fit one's opinion of cleanliness is selfish. If it doesn't pick my pocket nor break my bones, then who gives a "blam"?! I'm not an anarchist by any means. Yes, I believe in order, but policing one's speech? I'm one to advocate less governance vs. more, so to that degree, let the community work the "bugs" out. Sure there may be a few more "nasties" running rampant with all their bile, but as a whole, the community would "ban" together (see what I did there?) and begin muting these users until they're virtually obsolete

 • By the term clean. Let us go with, mmmm. If you wouldn't say it to your mother. Why do you need to say to another human? I can have and have had, heated debates with people. Yet, never have I had the need to use, unsavoury words. The odd "-blam!- off" or such is fine. But, some members don't just walk the line. They jump over it and stay there. So, is the COC really in question or is it the communities choice of words and delivery of those words? Make sense? I hope.

 • I think both are in question: the CoC because it's used almost like a, "my hands are tied, u violated our CoC, nothing else we can do. . ." answer that silences any debate. However, the code of conduct was created by the company itself. If they created the code, they surely can edit, re-evaluate, revise, etc. It's also the community and the clash of so many different age groups, masked behind gamertags, that likely also drives less sensitive language and debate. Maturity levels are sporadic and often times we encounter those with the inability to effectively reason and instead name-call, curse, etc. Again though, language and its appropriateness is highly subjective. For instance, some mothers may despise the word "stupid", while others may not have any particular dispositions. While I may not always like every person's choice of words, I will never be in the position nor advocate for another's ability to censor them, as badly as they may be perceived. If I dislike them, I will no longer read or listen to them. That's my choice to make.
