I have done something like that. Back near the beginning of destiny in dark below I had a thousand or so weapon parts on my titan I thought why not try and dismantle them because in my dumb head, I thought it would only dismantle one but no, 1100 weapon parts disappeared to my dismay. I never will do that again.
