How old is your modem/router? They may need to be upgraded. Also, how many people use the Internet at home? You may need to upgrade the service to a premium or boost package for more bandwidth.
Are you hardwired into the router or are you wireless? Wireless may have more issues due to the nature of it.
If you have updated gear, check your connection speed. There's a site, speedtest or something. If it's low and it shouldn't be, call your provider and ask them to check your hardware and local area for any defects.
