Lol where did you read that? I have read multiple sources based on the mountains and star patterns above the tower its in southeast Asia aka Nepal, at base of the Himalayas. That is also why we are so close to the cosmodrome. Why would the tower need to push back fallen that are on the exact opposite side of the globe?

What makes you think the Tower is close to Old Russia? Also a quote from the Cryptarch: "Civilization once stretched from the southern tip of this continent to the frozen north". You could be right, considering Asia does have a frozen north and a southern tip, but there is not enough evidence to prove either point. Going off the cryptarch quote you can assume several things. Made dawned from Africa, which has a southern tip but no frozen north. South Africa has no frozen north, unless you count north america as its north. But the civilization of man did not begin in the Americas.
