"...Some players use a LOT of Parts, whereas others use almost none..."
So "some" players get guns as strike, raid or faction rewards or engram drops that already have the perks maxed and others don't so these players don't need weapon parts? Really? Or is it that they don't bother to upgrade their weapons' perks? Even if they're using parts they had leftover from their other characters they're still using them. Hello?
I saw that line in the news and I almost had an aneurysm.
If you get a gun you really like that's in the mid 270's for example and you want to level it up, figuring on 2 infusions and then maxing all the perks you could wind up needing as many as 35 weapons parts. For just one gun. Now I don't expect to have every gun leveled up completely but we can carry 27 and have 72 more in our vaults. The ratio I'm seeing for armor vs. weapon engram drops is 4, even 5 to 1. And you have to keep the highest to use for infusions on the lower, so no parts to level up perks. Do the math.
Deej/Cosmo, I rarely if ever come on the forums and frag or even insult you guys like so many others do but that was the most CLUELESS effing thing I've seen yet as an excuse for yet ANOTHER epic fail by the propeller head data miners in the weapons/rewards departments.
It's incredibly aggravating petty shit like this and the pathetic strike and especially nightfall rewards that makes people crazy and furious, especially in a game that demands endless hours of grinding to equip and level up as many as 3 characters and be competitive in either PvE or PvP.
Just stop it.

While I don't disagree with the overall argument, there's a reason some players have more parts than others. I have a lot of parts sitting around because I don't upgrade every gun that falls in my lap. I'm picky about what I upgrade, because if you've played this game long enough you know damn well how a gun is going to work without even upgrading it just based on its stats. If players are running out of parts, it's partly because they're just wasting them on crap weapons.
-
...or we're infusing the crap weapons into our good ones.
-
I could be so lucky getting high enough light gear that was worth infusing. Unfortunately I have sh-t luck :/

I feel like blue drops have been stealth-nerfed. I've never seen so much 260-270 armor...
-
Seriously, that's all I get, 265, 270, 266, 278, etc etc... I've gotten 3 whole armor pieces above 290 in two freakin' weeks.

Saying that some people have plenty of weapons part is absolutely true though. I have alot, and don't really understand how people can't build up weapon parts unless you are trading them all in for rep all the time. Do people upgrade every single legendary weapon drop they get? I mean they obviously need to do something to help the ton of people having weapons part shortages, but just because you have a weapon parts shortage for whatever reason doesn't mean everyone who plays this game has the same issue.

Who gets gun/engram drops with maxed out perks?
No one
-
Who gets guns with perks that are worth leveling? Not everyone.
-
100 weapon parts for 100 silver calling it right now
-
Don't forget that about 1/3 of weapon engrams turn into light or coins.
