I have Taken King installed on my own xBox console and can access, and play. Purchased and installed Taken King as a gift, for another console at a different location. When I play on the other I cannot access or play TK. Similarly my friend cannot access TK on my console. Why would that be? I thought this was installed on the xBox and I should be able to access my character at any other location with the Taken King installed.

No, The Taken King actually works on any console. The thing that sucks is that on the console, your [i][u]account[/u][/i] has to be the one that made the purchase on the intended console you wish to play on.

Thanks. We can suddenly play at both locations. Although I paid for both they were on different accounts.

From what I hear, digital content on Xone works similarly to the ps4 in that the license is linked to both your account and home console, maybe try making sure that the license holder on the console youre playing on has that console set as home console and see if that works?

Will check this out. There are three players using the same console at one location (obviously playing at different times). Only one of them can access Taken King on either console. The other two are left out at both locations. When reading your original post your friend accessed TK on your console without having an account himself. However on his console the TK is not accessible: a situation I can understand since it's not installed. Two of my friends (actually grandsons) are thus left out at either locations yet they should be able to access TK on my console and theirs.
