For those who are extremely upset about time gate exotics, let's consider the counterpoint some year one players are making. Some of us prefer this method over RNG, however time locked exotics are kind of annoying when the weapon obtained is typically not that great. Except for the Black Spindle, and The Touch of Malice (referring to the Court of Oryx Tier 3 weekly cycle) Now, can we consider what is more frustrating? Grinding VOG and Crota every week on three characters praying for a gally, red death, hawkmoon, or ice breaker. Some players were lucky enough to get many of these weapons to drop without help. Many counted and prayed that Xur would sell them each week. Which when you think about it, these methods are basically a combination of RNG and time locking. Many day one players put over a thousand hours into this game to get those weapons with no success unless by chance, Xur was selling them again. Which he usually did, but months later. So to everyone who is upset about about these time locked exotics. Things could be so much worse. RNGesus does not bless everyone, and now each day he gives a chance that the Daily will give us an opportunity to acquire one of these new exotic weapons. Not to mention, Father Time has decided to move our wait times from months and thousands of hours, to weekly pick ups after completing the required quest lines. Minimizing elitism, and getting groups of players to help each other while on these quests. For Bungie, you may want to consider withholding information about the new "awesome" weapons so the community isn't disappointed after obtaining them. Ex. People were disappointed in the Sleeper Simulant because it was so hyped, and the quest line was relatively short . People weren't disappointed in the black Spindle, because we didn't even know it existed when it was discovered. It created so much excitement in the community we began hunting and glitching daily missions for other hidden things. -Reproachful

  • Agree with some points but this in no way has fixed any kind of elitist attitude in this game. Also I prefer rngesus :)

True there are still some people who are elitist about the raid and some guns. Personally my friends and I help everyone get those things in our spare time because the game is more fun when more players can interact. And haha some do prefer RNG, I'll never forget when I got my first Gally. I screamed like a little girl and thanked RNGesus. Reactions like that aren't really around with the new system. RNG is still there but in smaller amounts now. Which I feel is better for the majority overall in an attempt to keep the community from being too split.
