Lol I understand completely. First off, I guess YOU didn't understand my post. I was simply pointing out that RNG is being discussed because it was our primary way to obtain exotics ( besides buying them from Lou Xur or doing exotic bounties, which were also RNG as to when you would get them). It is 100% normal to compare/contrast old method vs. new. That is why RNG is being discussed so much. Ok RNG rant over. On to your next point. When you say "we are happy for them to release the quests over time", you obviously haven't read the first few pages of the original thread (OP made a lengthy edit after my original post) There are an ass ton of people crying about the timed release content, that has nothing to do with the specificity of when you have to do them. Those were the people I was addressing. Thirdly, yes a lot of people are upset that you have to play a certain day/time to do these quests. But guess what? There are equally as many people that don't care about it. We check the forums, read one of the 462 posts about the mission of the day, and do it. Or we don't, and wait for next week. News flash, it isn't that big of a deal to a lot of us. Do you know how long I had to wait for a Ghorn? A lot longer than a week or two. If life gets in the way and I can't be one of the special snowflakes who gets it first try, I'm ok with that. I know for a fact (through talking with friends and reading posts in this thread) that there are many others like me who just really don't care that much to get all butt hurt and run to the forums calling people tools. I have played many games/mmo's where I have paid for the content, but didn't receive a every single weapon or piece of gear. Whether it be because I didn't get high enough raid level, I didn't get lucky with RNG, or I simply didn't grind the way others did. I still had fun playing and wasn't crying because I didn't have every single last bit of everything a game had to offer. I'm not some old geezer, but I'm definitely no spring chicken, and I never thought I'd be one of those "these kids today" type of guys, but this "me me me" "now now now" generation we live in is pretty pathetic. And finally, what kind of tool am I? I hope you don't think I'm something boring like a hammer or a wrench. I fancy myself a 15 amp super sawzall reciprocating saw. Those are awesome. The thing people don't realize is we have had exotic "quest" lines since day one. The quest line for thorn. Bad juju. Invective and all the other main exotics. Now they just gave them a fancy name. There is still plenty of rng weapons. supercell? Where is that quest line? And not to mention all the year 1 exotics like red death last word where are those quest lines? They are all still rng. Nothing has changed at all. And class specific exotics?! Hands down the dumbest thing I've heard of. We had more exotic "quests" than we do now. Don't let bungie fool you

Paradox was the daily when the NTTE quest line popped up... It has been the daily before, it will become the daily again... Don't be so butt hurt about the timed releases because [b]YOU[/b] didn't get a chance to have it handed out to you. I'm not a big fan of this mechanic, but it's sure beats being lucky with RNG drops as it used to be in Year One. On top of that, the exotic bounties back then were basically the same thing. This new quest approach is just a clever way of Bungie to keep people looking into the game regularly. Does that make it bad? I don't think so, it's a nice way of blending them in with the rest of the gameplay. Also, sometimes having to wait for Arms Day actually makes sense... Plenty of time to do other stuff in between you know...

He is mentioning RNG as it is the main way we used to get exotics, the other being bounties. He's got a valid point... Also, don't speak as if you are representing the rest of the community, you aren't. Have some common decency and reply properly when someone else is trying to get a discussion going.

People are bringing up RNG because besides buying exotics from Mr. Lou Xur, it was the only way to obtain them prior to the new quest methods. So when someone is complaining about a new method, it's only natural to question/compare if it's better/worse than the previous. C'mon Billy, you knew that. Now that Billy is up to speed, I will say again, the timed releases really don't bother me (or a lot of other people according to this thread). If everyone could just burn through these guaranteed weapon quests immediately, you know the forums would be a blaze with people complaining there is nothing left to do. If it really gets you as butt hurt as you seem in your response, maybe try knitting, or underwater basket weaving. Something to mellow you out, you know? Deep breathes dude, it will all be ok :)

rather have them put into proper quests that you gain from various npc, instead of being time locked. look at the sleeper, so much work was put into finding that gun. come to find out it was time locked, kibda leaves a sour taste in people's mouths ;)
