Hmm...perhaps it is that you have not found a use for our previous weapons, so you were not issued any better ones to compensate.

Used your previous weapons found out they were bad and threw them to the trash. But its cool ill just have my warlock get something good from the dead orbit guy. [spoiler]can't spell his name[/spoiler]

I am sure we gave you something good, and you merely overlooked it. Many people seem to have liked our weapons in the past.

Vanquisher had to buy myself. Nothing from packages. Just bad guns, commendations... Lets not talk about that era. Glimmer shaders that I was hyped for but sadly disappointed.
