I'd rather have content time gated than play a game of crucible (especially mayhem) against a team of Titan hammers.
I don't have black spindle yet because I wasn't able to play on the days the daily was available. (2 days I had 18 hr days of work/school, then my internet was down)
I'm still fine with it, just fix hammer of sol.

But I sure you'd still love to run crucible and still get shotgunned around every corner right?

From that comment, I'm guessing you like to snipe.. as do I. Maybe instead of going around "every corner" you should sit back, create space and wait for that douchey shotgunner to come to you. Shotguns are fine as they are. Think about how effective real shotguns in real life would be at the ranges they are in destiny. They have much less range in the game. (Obviously real life doesn't play a factor, but nonetheless shotguns do their intended job as do other weapons in the game).
