I don't think many of you understand. The "well it's RNG, deal with it or stop playing" brigade. You people are utter morons, a significant part of weekly events have literally no point to them. The XP/Rep buff is gone and the drops are still shit. The nightfall is 90% a complete waste of time. Yet this is ok to you?
Edit: People still don't get it, you can just BUY three of coins. Why perform a weekly activity when it's going to give you easily obtained consumables? What is the point in making it a nightfall at all when you get better gear from just doing heroic strikes. Consumables shouldn't be in the loot table, neither should strange coins unless it's going to be a lot.

By making the nightfall less risky they have decreased the overall rewards. Before TTK we did the NF hoping to get that one last exotic to add to our collection as well as to set up improved rep/xp rewards for the week. We felt like we had to do it, it was a check box on our weekly to do list. Now it is much more forgiving, we get no rep/xp buff, it is not a requirement now. We can do it at our leisure, or not do it at all. By introducing the 3 of coins exotic drops are much more common, we still have to rely a bit on RNG but nightfalls and raids are no longer our best shot at an exotic. Overall I feel the change to NFs for TTK is a bonus, I would like to see better rep gains across the board, but overall not having to rely on the NF or to have to do it first thing every week is nice. I am appreciative of the drop improvements they've implemented but I think people are too hung up on how things used to be.

310 Monte Carlo, 290+ Rocket I broke down, and a 309 Scout Rifle with impact that's off the chart!. Much better than the last 4 weeks.

At first it seems like a crap reward but... it's actually better than a legendary weapon that you would prob dismantle anyway. Those ten 3 of coins could potentially turn into exotics.

Instead of 12 strange coins as usual, I got 20. Not even a legendary worth dismantling. And on my hunter I got a cloak at 303. I had - and still have - a 302 cloak of Tanniks. It would not have even been worth infusing. 10 armor materials and a mote of light? Nah. Used my motes to level up my NTTE.

I got 310 Suros Regime, 303 legendary gloves, and i think 12x 3oC, a lot better than the shit i've been getting for the past few weeks. Many friends also got 300+ gear on their runs so the rewards are better.

Saw a guy get a 308 1000 yard stare with short gaze, hidden hand, last resort and one of the stability perks. Can't remember which one. Sounds like a perfect ToO sniper.
