The people working on Destiny clearly have, and are continuing to work their butts off to make this the best game they can make it. Any game company worth their salt knows that the first step to making games is making something that [i]you[/i] want to play, and I have no illusions that they aren't attempting to do just that. Just because I'm not a fan of the direction the game is going, it doesn't mean I don't respect the individuals' efforts that go into it. :P And, like you said, this is [i]obviously[/i] something they have to have discussed at length, already, no question. However, that's part of the reason I'm calling them out on it; [i]if[/i] they had good enough reasons to do it (which I would hope they did, given that they risked upsetting such a massive portion of their playerbase), then why aren't they simply [i]telling us their reasoning?[/i] If the reasons are sound enough, then they would speak for themselves, but the fact that they're avoiding to even [i]acknowledge[/i] the issue leads me to believe that they [i]don't[/i] have a good reason to leave Year 1 behind, and that is what upsets me. :/
