I've noticed (with or without tracking) that the hammers have some sort of grenades and horseshoes. My solution would be to take that off so you either have to direct hit or catch them in the blast. Since this would make it harder to get kills I would then increase the duration of it without throwing hammers. I think everybody would end up happy
