Console Wars by level of thought. Child: My console (toy) is better than yours. Na Na Na Na boo boo stick your head in doo doo! [spoiler]I personally don't concern myself with childish things[/spoiler] Consumer: Which console will provide me with the most enjoyable entertainment for my hard earned cash? Which services and exclusives do I enjoy the most? Company: What incentives can we give our consumers so that they choose our product over our competitor's? What positives or positive spins can we put in our adds? What negatives can we put out about our competitors? Media: How can we make what's happening on the consumer and company levels sound more interesting so that we can get more hits, views etc? Console Wars was a flashy tag line drummed up by the Media to describe the competition between different consoles. It quite literally describes a competitive market. And that should matter to every gamer.
