weapons, some were OP I guess. Armor... yeah there's no reason but laziness and they want a limited number of appearances at any given time, hence why all armors are 'seasonal' and you better pray that DLC doesnt drop in december because you aint getting that sweet iron banner helmet come january as it'll be 'cycled out' like they always do
