The reason we can't infuse year 1 is because they made weapons too good in year 1.
But I'm sure Tess Everis will be selling something that'll let you infuse year 1s eventually ;)

I don't think you read the post, because I very clearly show how Year 1 gear actually [i]isn't[/i] overpowered, anymore. There were only ever a [i]few[/i] OP weapons, and they've all been nerfed substantially. And, not only were the rest of Year 1 weapons perfectly well-balanced from a stat level, all the [url=https://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Update---09082015/en/News/News?aid=13474]Year 1 perks have been very much reduced.[/url]
