Because Year 1 is over. [...] Why do you need your Year 1 weapons in Year 2?
So what if Year 1 is over? Why the hell does that I can't keep using my gear? Should they remove the old raids? Should they remove all the old strikes? Should they remove all the Crucible maps? Because, based on your argument, if Year 1 is over, why do you need your Year 1 activities in Year 2?

 • You can't use Year 1 gear because it is Year 2. What more of an explanation do you need? There are more than enough new weapons to replace what has been left behind. Yes, the old activities should be phased out as we continue to move forward with Year 2. As more DLCs come out I hope to see VoG, TDB, and PoE be replaced with new activities.

 • Why does it even matter to you if they allow people to use year one gear? Why do you feel you have to take something away from someone else when it has no effect on you? Defending this ridiculousness when it doesn't actually impact you makes me think you are just being a fan boy.

 •
Why do you feel you have to take something away from someone else when it has no effect on you?
Spot on, man. I don't know why people can't understand the concept of CHOICE. If they want to use all new gear, that's TOTALLY awesome; I just want to be able to use what I WANT.

 • If we shouldn't use year one weapons because it's year 2, then I would like to see the same principle applied to the reused maps and reskined enemies. This is not destiny 2.

 • So when they said "expanding the game with new stuff" they really meant was," we're replacing everything in year one and should have just made a new game (destiny 2) instead of calling this a dlc"

 •
You can't use Year 1 gear because it is Year 2.
You keep repeating that, but that doesn't mean anything. Repeating it again won't change that. This is still the same game. "Year 2" doesn't mean shit, because YEAR 1 AND YEAR 2 ARE ARBITRARY DIVISIONS OF TIME. What I am saying is that there is no reason that Year 1 needs to get left behind.

 • Actually it means exactly what is being stated. Year 1= Year 1 gear. Year 2 = Year 2 gear. Yes some Year 1 gear came into Year 2 that Bungie thought would fit well with the Year 2 model. Yes I agree with the stance that a new year should primarily mean new gear. New weapons, new armor, new everything - which is what happened. Kiss your Year 1 gear bye bye. But I'm sure you will hang on to it for the next 8 years bitching about your lack of vault space

 • You are an idiot, every time I see you post it's the same thing it's year two it's year one. Come up with a valid point and explain the reasons rather than repeating yourself. Freaking idiot
