Oh man, I should have studied Mars. Um, if I had to guess, he found what the Cabal found, which was the Vex. Maybe the Black Garden?

Mmmmm, not quite. My grimore isn't showing up atm, otherwise I would point you to the ghost fragment, however it's either the mars one or cabal. It explains how it looks like they're running from something.
