There was once a little light travelling to mars in search of a guardian to rise, all he found was bone and dust. No revival guardians. He spent the rest of his life knowing he was going to die on mars, so he decided to study the cabal. Explain his findings.

Oh man, I should have studied Mars. Um, if I had to guess, he found what the Cabal found, which was the Vex. Maybe the Black Garden?

Mmmmm, not quite. My grimore isn't showing up atm, otherwise I would point you to the ghost fragment, however it's either the mars one or cabal. It explains how it looks like they're running from something.
