TL;DR I think there should be new public events that revolve around crazy weather events in each patrol area while fighting high level enemies for awesome loot
Hey Guardians,
So I have been thinking and when it comes to public events, right now they are pointless. I still do them if I happen to be running by and one starts or is almost over, but to be honest they have little to no rewards and are the same old thing.
So I think Bungie should add new events related to the weather. When entering or just sitting an area while in patrol, your Ghost or a Vanguard leader could chime in and say "the darkness is corrupting the Traveler's Terra forming in this area. Find the source and take it out"
After this happens a weather event would happen causing different effects per area.
Earth: Blizzard= very low visibility and slowed, high level winter geared Fallen running around. After killing the multiple majors, an ultra Servitor or something would appear.
Moon: Low gravity= jumping would be drastically improved but going to high would result in floating away and death. High level hive would engage you, tons of thrall would also try to swarm you and make you jump.
Venus: Acid Rain= while in the rain, you'll slowly be damaged and have weakened armor stats, Vex would engage you
Mars: Dust Storm= low visibility, due to dust in your weapons reload would become very slow. High level Cabal would also engage you, kill them to get the Primus to engage you.

Pitched this a year ago. It'd be awesome but I doubt it would happen until we move away from the 360 and ps3. They tend to claim the older gen is holding them back.
