But still should take some ammo, just less. As I said, it's based off the amount of damage blocked. In fact, still shouldn't matter if SS is a fusion rifle. It's enough damage for a one shot kill.

I think it didn't actually do damage because rather than the sword absorbing the damage, the block simulated a wall so the exotic perk of the simulant just made it bounce
