bump.
I love reading your posts. I'm a big fan of this game and when I finish one of your threads I don't feel offended...I feel enlightened. there are a lot of people on these forums that whip out insults like desticle and sheep almost as a reflex to contrary opinions. you're not one of them.
we all agree this game could be improved, most of us agree it will, but nobody should be judged for how they spend their money or what they find enjoyable, be it repetitive or not.
I'm also under the belief that bungie/activision will implement the highly-requested changes without players having to boycott the game to be heard, because they do listen...they just don't talk, a characteristic welcoming of speculation.

There's only a handful of people who write posts in a similar manner to myself, and it's rare to see someone outside of that little circle who understands the depths of thought that goes into writing something like this. So for that, I thank you. While I love the optimism you're holding on to, I'm afraid that Bungie keeps my pessimism growing stronger every single week. There's just not a bright future in sight for this game, but I still try.

Agreed. It's a known fact that 90% of the revenue for video games comes from the "Casual" Gamers, yet Bungie has tailored Destiny to suckle the niche "Hardcore" Gamer. It doesn't matter which way you flip the financial data, tailoring a game to a niche crowd of consumers is not sustainable. It's only a matter of time before the financial losses start adding up, and the recent introduction of a cash shop to fund new content is a very telling sign that the above mentioned truths are starting to show.
