A thought on microtransactions and why I don't like free DLC

So I've been thinking since the announcement was made about the microtransactions and the DLC being free. Here's my thought, I'm ok with microtransations as long as they stay purely atheistic. The moment it turns into buying guns, armor, relics is the moment I don't want them. But the thing that has really been nagging me is the free DLC. Don't get me wrong, in many ways I'm excited for free DLC, that is great...BUT. I really enjoy Destiny, I've put in well over 2000 hours. I feel very invested in the game. One of the most important things is content, DLCs, expansions, quests, missions, even crucible types. I want to see new areas, new worlds, new characters, new options, new abilities, new guns, and more. I want to support Bungie in creating this content. I want to see the universe open up as guardians begin to travel the stars. I'm concerned that free DLC would turn into new quests, killing the same enemies in the same areas we've been dozens, hundreds, possibly thousands of times. I don't want the DLCs to be hollow and re-using the same space. But creating new space, characters, and the like costs money. I'm not saying you need to charge $60 for every new piece of DLC, but I have been comfortable paying the money so far and getting the content I have. Certainly The Dark Below felt a little shallow, but everything about The Taken King has been interesting, challenging, and fun. I want to see more content like that pushed out, and I want to support that. I know a lot of people will disagree, but I just wanted to share my opinion
