Pies contain meat. Sweet pastry food items are cakes or tarts. Tut tut, how can a whole nation could be so misinformed?

It's a difference in culture. We have cakes, tarts, and sweet pies. We also have meat pies and pies made for meals (chicken pies, Shepard's pie, Steak pie). How can you be so misinformed?

I was joking. Hence the :P I'm very well informed on the subject. I've lived in both the UK and the U.S. And Mexico incidentally. No pies there though sadly.
