Potential of "Silver"

Start by saying I have been a bungie fan since combat evolved. And I love destiny. Check my hours if you don't believe. And like it or not, the creation of silver will affect every single player in destiny. I find it hard to believe they would go through the trouble of creating this currency solely for online emote purchases. I very much hope that destiny's devs don't exploit this, because the potential is very much there. I will be watching tess with my breath held, and my credit card number discreetly tucked away. I just hope there is a way to delete this free silver they plan on giving away on Tuesday. I for one want nothing to do with it. To all those calling gr8 b8... This is the biggest example baiting in destiny's sordid history...

  • I'm not sure how slippery a slope it really is. If it's purely cosmetic like emotes, shaders, gear and weapon skins then it's harmless and does not effect gameplay. Those that want too and can afford to make their chars unique have that right to do so. If on the other hand they decide to sell weapos, gear or heaven forbid access to special events than we have a serious problem. It's one thing to have PS exclusives or Red Bull missions since they are sponsored (Paid for extras by outside companies). If they switch it up and have Red Bull Exotics, silver for access to special missions that yield event specific weapons, gear or exotics then they would've truely crossed the line and I would bow out.
