Remember RuneScape and what killed it?

Only if Bungie sold anything past cosmetics would it not be ok. GTA was decentish in the way it was done now. Any ingame advantage with microtransactions is what stuffs it up. For those of you who don't know or seen what happened to RuneScape. About 4years ago nearly they brought in gambling for kids to get cosmetics and then ingame advantages. To this date you get more and better content by transactions than playing the actual game, they also said bullshit like "you will never get a chance to see this item again unless you win it now" to make mass purchases then a few years later rerelease it and state "we can change our system whenever due to terms of use". Also the fact they changed the combat system to mimic world of warcrafts so horrendously, they had to release DarkScape recently because the combats so boring and crap, no one does pvp anymore.

  • On the topic of pay to win, the only advantages you get are xp bonuses. So that's not really an advantage because you have to buy over $1k to get from level 1 to level 50 in any skill. The weapons and hear of which you are referring to is either weapons that scale to the players level or are just recolored weapons currently in the game, none of which can be traded. The pvp isn't that bad either. You are obviously over generalizing like every one on this form does.
