I honestly don't know how to feel about whether it does or does not have a connection. If you look at the lore of Pocket Infinity you will find out that the only reason that Pocket Infinity even has any connection to Rasputin is because Fireteam Tuyet called a warmind to their aid in one last effort to save themselves from the Vex who were trying to "erase" them. Now if you go deeper into the lore from other cards that are connected to the Pocket Infinity, you will find out that the Pocket Infinity is really a guardian version of the Vex Mythoclast. Fireteam Tuyet managed to get ahold of the Vex Mythoclast and create a new weapon using the Mythoclast's model. The Vex could not afford to lose the Mythoclast, hence why the Vex are trying so hard to "erase" Fireteam Tuyet. Overall, I think that the Pocket Infinity does not have anything to do with the Sleeper Simulant due to the fact that the Fireteam Tuyet/Pocket Infinity lore is completely different than the Rasputin lore. But you never know, Bungie might try to tie the two in somehow [u]through[/u] the Sleeper Simulant
