No , you're point doesn't still stand. It doesn't because there's still no Year 2 Pocket Infinity. That bounty wouldn't require Last Word if it didn't have a year 2 version. Xur can sell that gun. Nightfalls drop that gun. RNG engrams drop that gun. Can't say the same about the PI. I just got a ps4 and destiny. Mind telling me how I get that PI in year 2? It doesn't drop anymore. There's no more exotic bounties. If you think buying a legacy engram from Xur is the only way to obtain a year 2 weapon than you're delusional. Maybe it is a map like BH, but it's definitely not required to get the SS or year 2 players would be screwed.

There could be a Yr 2 PI. Even if there isn't, what makes you think it wouldn't be used in obtaining a new weapon? The Chaperone bounty could still require The Last Word even if it didn't have a yr 2 version considering how it's only required in the Crucible where atk value doesn't matter, but since they made a Yr 2 version we will never know. As you know, PI no longer has a bounty for obtaining it so you need to rely on legacy engrams. Nightfall may or may not drop it, and I reserve judgment until I know for sure. You could still very well obtain it. Legacy Engrams will only drop a year 1 item from it. I never said those things drop a year 2 item because of what they are. Delusional is when there is strong evidence against something but you continue to believe in it anyways. I would be delusional if I believed they could give you a Yr 2 item. Not sure what brought that up anyways Even if BH rune stone was required, you could run Crota till you got it. It'd be no different from Husk of the Pit --> Necrochasm. And if it was required to get the Spindle, would you be saying the same thing about PI?

I never said legacy engrams give you year 2 items. My point was is that the legacy engram is the only way for me to get pocket infinity. Since legacy means year 1 only, why would it be necessary for me to buy a legacy engram just to have a shot at getting a year 2 weapon in SS? ATK has nothing to do with me bringing up the last word. I brought it up because you can get that gun doing anything. Pocket infinity only has 1 way to get it, the legacy engram. There is no year 2 PI. Definitely not a nightfall drop.

Back to the discussion. The only reason I could think of for needing a legacy weapon is the same reason as for needing TLW the chaperone... grind. That's what Bungie is good at. Still requires grind for getting Last Word, but my point was that since you use it in the Crucible for the bounty you don't need the Yr 2 version of it. I would not put it past them for needing the Last Word even if it didn't have a Yr 2 version.

In a way, year 1 black hammer gave us a clue for acquiring year 2 black hammer. TLW wasn't left behind and that is the only valid point, someone who never got TLW didn't have to go fishing around in year 1 to complete a year 2 bounty . Pocket Infinity has no year 2 version and Sleeper is not a year 2 pocket infinity. It will NOT be needed, so my point still stands as well. Bungie won't make players waste their time trying to find a useless year 1, 170 exotic.
