Pretty straightforward. This would work pretty much exactly how the HOW crucible specific drops still drop in crucible. to go more in depth though, It would work a little like this:
- These weapons will round out to your current light level, just like all other rng weapons in ttk do. This means they aren't stuck at y1 light levels
-All these weapons only drop from the endgame screen. This means they don't drop during a strike, or from an engram, or from a faction package, etc.
- Strikes only drop these weapons from the endgame screen. Meaning not only can the drop get you some goodies, but the end of the strike can too
- The Vanguard buff applies to this as well
- If a boss doesn't drop a legendary for you while the buff is active, you have an increased chance of obtaining a weapon at the end game screen
- Old vanguard weapons drop from vanguard and heroic strikes. Heroic naturally has a higher drop rate.
- Old faction specific weapons drop from both strikes and crucible
- only the weapons of the faction you are pledged to will drop. So if you are pledged to fwc, only fwc weapons will drop
- Doing an activity sponsored by your faction increases drop rate
- Old crucible weapons drop alongside the old HOW crucible drop weapons.
Reasons for this too happen:
- gives even more reason to play
- from bungies perspective it is better than letting y1 weapons ascend, because now we need to farm for them all over again ( not to mention with the perfect roll )
- Adds more variety in viable and non viable weapon choices
- Allows us y1 "vets" to experience our favorites all over again ( ex. LDR, shadow price, dead shot luna, etc )
- It's already being done with the old HOW crucible specific drops, so why not expand on that? I mean really?
Disclaimer:
- This would not apply too old trials weapons, old raid weapons, or old POE weapons
- these weapons would "technically" be part of the ttk expansion, so They would feature a ttk upgrade tree, the option to infuse, they would offer legendary marks when dismantled, and they would not have the reforge option
How do you guys like the idea?
