It's nice that y2 gear doesn't need a shard just to unlock the last perk node BUT you still need exotic shards:
- to buy from blueprints
- to unlock any y1 gear you still get from legacy engrams and wantvto use (minor for me)
- ** AND to infuse y2 gear to higher levels.
* Bungie, please put exotic shards back in what xur sells.
* They are obviously still needed for current gear and there is no good, reasonable source if xur doesn't sell them.
The alternatives are VERY expensive and frankly ridiculous. Go back to 7sc each from xur please.
Edit/update: and now we need them for glass needles too...

He does, just need to dismantle the exotics he sell. They just put up the price a bit.

"a bit more expensive" ... x2 or x3... 13 or 23 vs 7 strange coins each... ie "not reasonable" imo

13 vs 7 is reasonable when you add in all the extras from 3oC I think. Though maybe the SC drop rate nerf makes it worse now.

But there are more needs for shards now too... as I listed above. personally I haven't gotten tons of exotic engram drops from 3ofC's so that's not always a reliable source for ex shards either. Just put them back in xur's inventory. .. is that so hard?
