Letter to Bungie

Over one week ago I sent a letter to Bungie via email and a hard-copy via US Mail regarding my severe unhappiness and frustration with the release of their newest DLC expansion The Taken King. Since then I have only received an automated email response mentioning something about Halo 3 and how they "may not respond to every email." This is completely unsatisfactory and I will be notifying the BBB about this issue. I also want to share with everyone, including Bungie, why they have let down me and every frustrated fan (and customer) out there who have been long-time supporters, and also are the reason that Bungie is the company that they are today. The letter that was sent has been provided above.

  • 1) I originally came to the #Help forum to post my frustration in the hopes that someone from Bungie will contact me regarding this issue. I did not purchase this game only to have half of the content removed a year later and be forced into a new DLC. Since I have not received a response with 2-page letter sent by US Mail, or by contacting them on Twitter or Facebook, what other choice do I have? 2) To those who feel the need to venomously reply to this post or presume to know me or my intentions beyond what I have openly posed here on this forum, if you have purchased The Taken King DLC, you do not have a dog in this fight. I'm not looking for a handout, I just want my game returned to how it was when I purchased it. Also, I cannot re-post my original 2-page letter because the forum will not allow a post that is that long. If you look at the address and use a little deductive reasoning I think you'll find it's safe. Otherwise, I'm not going to make you read it. I will however say that my version of the game has be dramatically altered/reduced without any forewarning or permission. The following features are what I and others have personally observed being removed from the game on the day that The Taken King launched for those who did not purchase it: -Daily Heroic Mission -Weekly Heroic Strike -Weekly Nightfall Strike -Any previous story mission on heroic difficulty (light level 240 required) -7/10 of Crucible playlists are not available* -Strike playlists over level 20 (some included with previous DLC purchases) -Kill objective public events are too high a level to go after without someone else having the new DLC -Eris Morn Bounties -Queen’s Wrath Bounties -Year one exotic bounties -Purchase Vanguard Legendary gear from the Tower (requires legendary marks and level 40 which are both only accessible with The Taken King DLC) (*only six playlists were available before, but now I can only access three playlists) 3) Please don't waste my time or anyone else's with profanity, name-calling, and slander. If you want to engage in an honest and open discussion by forming an actual argument, then I am more than happy to respond and answer any questions some people may have.
