There is a difference, your 2014 vehicle still performed according to its own specs. You were just regretful that you did not wait for the newer model to be out before you made your purchase. If you must use a car analogy though, this is more like the Volkswagen debacle where they cheated on their emissions tests on their Diesel engines. By advertising great performance and low emissions they sold incredibly well but in reality they only met emission standards because they put in a mechanism that detected when the cars where undergoing emission testing and turned on the emission control systems to fool the tests (Reducing drastically the car's performance) Once the cars were out on the roads again the systems returned to normal operation and disabled the emission control systems increasing performance to advertised levels but raising emissions to up to a staggering 40 times the legal limit. All done by greedy executives to save some money by putting in a much cheaper and under-performing emission control system than what was needed/advertised. Destiny is just like that, It was advertised as a high performing game of revolutionary proportions and it looks the part in the media but once you get down to it its not what was advertised and the company failed to inform you they would be gutting parts regularly to extract more money out of you. In both cases the consumer is screwed by deception. We are left with a game that diminishes over time and loses content. And the VW car owners are left with a car that will finally be made emission compliant in a legally mandated recall but will perform well below the advertised specs on both mileage and horsepower and will have a really poor resale value.

Yeah ......but you could still drive your old truck the same as the new one. If the two trucks were the same scenario as destiny, you would have to drive your old truck on the rims because you wouldn't be able to put new tires on it......

I actually see it more like this. I bought a 2014 GMC Sierra. I loved that car and spent many, many hours tricking it out. It truly was perfect and why wouldn't it be I put the work in and tailored it with my It preferred interior, sound system, and performance. After 6 months creating my perfect road machine they released the 2015 Sierra that had different features than mine. It had a new paint job with fancy door handles a new interior, sound system and a whole bunch of new cool gadets....you know...newer shit. I went to the dealership to express my dismay and told them "look idk what kind of ass backwards buisness you're runnin here. I mean I really did love the new 2015 Sierra. I even purchased it day one, it was great but it really doesn't fit my driving style. Sooooooo, I get you really like the 2015 model but why did you have to remove tires and rip out the interior of my slightly older 2014 " It's bullshit and would you believe that they just laughed in my face and told me there's a mud hill to sled the 2014's down in the back. As I was leaving I even overheard one of them mention the 2016 models. Lol yea true shit man....WORST CAR DEALERSHIP EVERRRRRRRR!!! Wouldn't even give me my tires back can you believe that.

I'm neutral, but the difference is, you're 2014 still works. The 2015 coming out didn't ruin your 2014, nor did it cause your 2014 to lose features you paid for. That's why people are upset. Seriously, I don't care, but just wanted you to know why people are angry.
