Because if not you would have killed that hunter and 5 more people behind him. Sunbreaker is currently the strongest super and it's called balancing.

It needs to be to counterbalance the hunter supers. The new supers are the most balance ones compared to the old ones.

Exactly, it is the strongest out of all of the new ones but if a hunter can time it right before a hammer smacks them in the face, they can either stop him, or stop him from disintegrating the rest of the team but maybe die in the process, the main point of the subclass is team play and that's exactly what it does
