So as a person new to the raid ive been looking to find a raid group and I came across a disturbing trend. People with no experience are DEMANDING only to raid with groups that have experience. it goes a little something like this
new to raid have 2 people a titan and a hunter. need 4 people with raid experience and have beaten oryx only. message me.
Seriously? so now people without experience are demanding experienced raiders? no wonder no one will take new people in. if you don't have experience you shouldn't demand that you have a group that has beaten oryx. you are at the bottom of the barrel. take what you can get.
-
vog normal must be level 40 must have year 2 exotic (used to be maxed Gally) must have soloed the raid and it gets worse
-
need 5 for king fall raid, must able to drive cars with stick
-
I think the trials posts were worse
-
just ignore those fools. people making ludicrous demands are usually idiots or nubs that need to get carried through. stick to the people asking for the bare minimums while also meeting their own standard, THOSE are the people you want to play with. (290 light and mostly mics.)
-
Then get a team of inexperienced people like the experienced people did when they first did it?
-
The Liar Tells you he knows the raid has done it a million times then when you get in doesn't have a clue and asks about everything. These people get an instant kick. I'd rather some be honest so I can explain than pretend and cause many wipes
-
I only take people if they have year 3 gjallarhorn and they have to have soloed oryx at least once
-
People are dicks, I started the Kings Fall last night for the first time and it wasn't that hard to explain what to do on each section. After a couple of wipes we soon got the idea. Some people are to lazy to put their mic on and speak.
-
My raid posts usually consist of -blam!-ING JOIN YOU -blam!-ING PIECES OF SHIT. GO -blam!- YOURSELVES GOD DAMNIT I HATE ALL OF YOU and in the days of VoG and Crota, it would fill up instantly with people as immature as me, and we would get it done sometimes no wipes at all lol
-
the guides are out, look at them and study the fights.....
-
Yeah man, and you join and the poster and his friend have no idea whats going on and die every 2 minutes.
-
I've seen people under 290 asking for this. I can't ever imagine they find groups. Mostly I've seen people requiring you to have the emblem on
-
Every raid has been like this
-
They can ask for whatever they want
-
I hate seeing "must be light level 295+" than I inspect character and see a light level of 287 its ridiculous

Edited by Ebola510: 9/28/2015 3:07:17 PMThis is why I'm waiting until the middle of October or November to even attempt the raid. LFG is nothing but elitists who probably suck at the raid anyway. By next month I suspect majority of people will be more competent and less douchey.
-
I took a full fireteam of raid virgins into vog after it came out and brought them through it with ease. YOU NEED TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE FIRETEAM IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE! Every fireteam needs a leader
-
This is why being well known at school helps . You know people who would help
-
Yeah, only XBOX Scrubs post that on LFG. Anyway, I'm muting you.
-
Just completed the raid with no requirements other than 295+. It just takes patience and communication.

Edited by JudgeGray: 9/28/2015 6:19:05 AMI usually just go to the raid section of the forum to pick up a group. I did the raid 3 times in one day, 2 were groups I found that way and one was for a guy in my friend list. I usually join groups instead of making them. I advertise my self as experianced with touch of malice. I've been with really pro groups and Noobs so far. Only time I get mad is when I play with new people and explain the mechanics of the fights and show spot by spot instructions of what's where and what to do. And they still mess up. I'll usually leave a party after I have to explain what counter clock wise is for the 100th time, or after I tell people to wait to get on their platform 20 times. How hard is it to listen. I say "wait your turn, don't hover or keep jumping. Let the person before you get on the plate before you jump. This isn't a race" I'll run with Noobs if I have time and they listen. If not I'll find elite groups because I put a lot of time in and I value it. Moral if your new, bloody listen to the vets or you will be stuck running with all Noobs. Us raid vets backs are starting to get tired from carrying you through raids. We don't mind helping but do what your told , ask questions instead of saying your experianced. We can tell if your not
-
Hell yes I'm asking for experience. I don't want to wipe 50 times in the first hour, I want to get it done in under 5 wipes, at the most. King's Fall is hard; it really weeds out the scrubs.
-
I've done the raid 7 times this week because my team kept helping people who were new through it
-
They're idiots that want to be carried. People were demanding that you wear the emblem for killing Oryx day one. They just want an easy carry through King's Fall.
-
Welcome to the actuality of the ghorn only requests. Those people didn't have their own lol
-
tbh thats tame... wait a month... "touch of malice only" just wait for it mate, just wait for it....
